Tiger

Tiger

This category includes plants with random spotting on leaves on surface, mostly whitish or cream color, that resemble a tiger pattern. It can be minute or large, in part or the entire leave. Examples are the Setsuzan and Hokage. This is called the white tiger pattern. Another group of tigers is the yellow tigers, that have a solid splash of yellow across the leaves, contasting with the green parts, like the Karanishiki. While the white tigers like medium to low light, the yellow tigers need strong light to create the patterns (and may dissapear in the shade). The tigers are a good challenge to grow as the intensity of the patterns can be attributed to good culture.
