Neofinetias are unique in the orchid world because they can be classified in many ways including root colour. Beside the normal brown or green root tips, they have some plants with RUBY and red colored root tips! These roots are produced en masse in spring time and can create quite a show framing the plant. Due to this special quality, these plants are much rarer and in demand. There are a few affordable ones but many are priced according to rarity and stature in the Meikan chart (higher ranking costs much more).
